An Illinois lawmaker is baffling his fellow politicians by trying to push through a law banning the sale of lion burgers.

Rep. Luis Arroyo (D-Chicago) wouldn’t say where he thinks lion meat is being sold, but he’s so sure it’s on the menu somewhere that he wants a tough law.

“These are zoo animals,” he said. “There’s other meats we can eat besides the lions.”

A Tennessee man is suing a church — for an exorcism gone wrong.

Andrew Byrd claims that he went to a Sevier County church last year, where he says the Rev. Joel Arwood and his wife roughed him up in an attempt to get rid of what they believed was an evil spirit.

Now Byrd wants $200,000 for the alleged assault, which he said caused a back injury and a missing tooth.

Officials in China are probing why 900 pigs were found floating dead in the Shanghai River.

The river is the main water source for the massive Chinese city, making the discovery a particularly disturbing one for residents.

Officials said there was no sign that the pigs were dumped or that there was a pig epidemic.

A painting by a renowned Dutch master has been found covered in garbage.

The oil masterpiece by Anthony Van Dyck was discovered in a British museum’s storage space. It depicted a lady in waiting to English King Charles I.

The picture was covered in refuse and grime but because it is an authentic Van Dyck, it could still fetch over $1 million.
