Hiram’s tooth br‘ache’: Pol’s dental work delays jail

It seems that Hiram Monserrate’s teeth are as rotten as his reputation.

The prison-bound ex-pol has won an extra month of freedom for desperately needed dental work, court papers reveal.

Monserrate — who was sentenced to two years in the slammer for corruption — recently underwent several root-canal procedures, defense lawyer James Neuman wrote. But he still needs four more crowns, work his dentist says “must be done ‘expeditiously’ in order to avoid additional damage,” Neuman said.

Judge Colleen McMahon gave Monserrate until April 11 to start his sentence.

The disgraced Democratic lawmaker from Queens pleaded guilty last year to scamming nearly $100,000 in “slush” funds while serving on the City Council in 2006.

He was booted from the state Senate in 2009 after being convicted of roughing up his girlfriend, for which he was sentenced to probation.
