Anderson Cooper’s alleged stalker mentally fit to stand trial

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper’s scraggly-haired stalker was found mentally fit Tuesday in a Manhattan court to face charges he harassed the handsome newsman and his boyfriend.

Alex Hausner, 38, spent the last two months in court-ordered treatment at the Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center.

Doctors there determined he’s now stable enough to face raps for stalking, harassing and menacing Cooper and his hunky lover Benjamin Maisani.

The schizophrenic Queens native is accused of making unwelcome phonecalls and visits to the silver-haired anchor at his work and home since 2008.

In the most recent incident July 27th of last year, Hausner showed up at Cooper’s converted firehouse in a rage and repeatedly kicked the red front door. “I swear to f–king God, don’t insult me,” he shouted. “I’m going to f-k you up!”

The loud-mouthed loon believed his imaginary freidnship with Cooper included “romantic overtones,” according to court papers.

“I have a crush on Anderson, he is not in any danger,” Hausner told cops after his arrest.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon reinstated Hausner’s $75,000 bail.
