WASHINGTON — The co-sponsor of a failed Senate measure to expand federal background checks for gun sales said yesterday that he plans to bring it up again.
“The only thing I’ve asked for is that people would just read the bill,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.) said on “Fox News Sunday.” “It’s criminal and mental background checks strictly at gun shows and online sales.”
