‘Breaking Amish” star Kate Stoltzfus is getting some Maxim-um exposure.
Stoltzfus, who’s made no secret of her modeling aspirations while appearing on the TLC reality show the past two seasons — including this summer’s spinoff, “Breaking Amish: Brave New World” — is featured in the July/August issue of Maxim magazine — shedding her Amish bonnet and showing off her assets.
She tells the magazine that, to prepare for her hoped-for modeling career, she did a test shoot.
“And the first outfit they put me in was a bathing suit!” she says. “I have to admit it was a little intimidating, but now I enjoy doing it.”
Stoltzfus, who hails from Lancaster — in the heart of Pennsylvania Amish country — now lives in New York City with several roommates and her bulldog.
“I’m actually a great roommate because I do my own cleaning and cooking, and I can fix almost anything,” she tells Maxim. “That’s definitely a benefit of being raised Amish.”
She also says she has one “secret hobby” that hasn’t been seen on TV.
“I can whip a guy’s ass playing Ping-Pong,” she says. “My parents bought me a table for my 10th birthday, so I’ve had a lot of practice.
“I can also bake amazing cookies.”
And, she says, she’s not the only Amish woman who has modeling potential.
“There are definitely a lot of Amish women who have great bodies, because they work hard,” she says. “They also eat really healthy, since they grow their own food.
“That’s one big thing I miss about home,” she says, “being able to garden and take care of plants.”
