Eliot Spitzer ducked a question yesterday about whether he and his wife, Silda, are still living together.
During an interview on WPIX TV, Spitzer was asked if he’s still part of a couple with Silda. “Yes,” the candidate for comptroller replied.
But Spitzer, who resigned in disgrace as governor due to a hooker scandal in 2008, deflected a question whether they were living together.
“Our private lives are our private lives,” he insisted.
The Post reported in May that he and Silda had been living under different roofs.
A resident who lives in the building where Silda Spitzer resides said, “I haven’t seen Eliot in weeks.”
But Nancy Ann Lieberman, a longtime Silda pal, insisted that the Spitzers’ marriage is solid.
She said Eliot spends a lot of time at his father’s apartment nearby.
“He works in the family business, lives not that far away and does spend a lot of time over there,” she said. “They’ve gotten past [the scandal.]”
