Cab crash injures pedestrian

A speeding cab crashed into another taxi in Midtown during evening rush hour yesterday, then spun out of control and jumped the curb — seriously injuring a male pedestrian, cops and witnesses said.

“If that pole wasn’t there, the person on the street would be dead,” said Harun Rashid, who sells posters on Seventh Avenue near West 52nd Street and witnessed the accident at about 4 p.m.

The pedestrian was listed in stable condition at Cornell Medical Center, cops said. The unidentified cabby, who was allegedly speeding, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Neither cab had passengers.
