Party boy Mike one for the books

It turns out Mayor Bloomberg is a bookworm.

Hizzoner hosted or attended 13 book parties last year, according to a copy of his schedule obtained by The Post.

Bloomberg attended a September house party for “The Good Girls Revolt” by Lynn Povich, about women in the news business in the 1960s.

In May, the mayor went to four book parties, including one attended by Chelsea Clinton for “Talking Back to Facebook,” by James Steyer.

Bloomberg also hosted two soirées at his philanthropic headquarters, one for former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s “It Worked for Me” and one for former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell’s “Nation of Wusses.”

Bloomberg once surprised reporters with his own odd favorite read — the spy novel “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,” by John le Carré.

The mayor’s schedule — from which many private meetings were redacted — also included a previously undisclosed trip to the White House to meet with President Obama in February 2012, when the president was seeking his endorsement.

The mayor endorsed Obama one week before the election.
