‘Lights’ on for moguls

It may sound improbable but billionaire financier Phil Falcone and satellite mogul Charlie Ergen may be looking to kiss and make up.

The apparent peace talks emerged yesterday just as the two were likely to lock horns at a hearing in US bankruptcy court in Manhattan over the reorganization of LightSquared.

The hearing was adjourned, a person close to the proceedings told The Post, “to let the parties continue to talk” following a private meeting in the judge’s chambers.

Falcone is asking that his Harbinger Capital hedge fund, which has backed LightSquared, receive more time to come up with a restructuring plan.

Ergen, the chairman of Dish Network, has gobbled up LightSquared debt. Falcone is seeking to block Dish’s plan to make a $2 billion bid for LightSquared assets.
