Two men killed in separate motorcycle accidents in Queens, Brooklyn

Two men were killed in motorcycle accidents in Brooklyn and Queens today, police said.

Jeffrey Martinez, 22, of Coney Island struck a divider on the Gowanus Expressway near the Prospect Expressway in Sunset Park about 2:40 a.m. and fell from his black 2013 Yamaha motorcycle, cops said.

EMS rushed Martinez to Lutheran Medical Center, but he could not be revived.

Then in Queens, a motorcyclist, 33, hit a man, 50, with his 2001 Kawasaki while heading east on Queens Boulevard shortly before 4 a.m. on 44th Street, authorities said.

The pedestrian had been trying to cross 44th Street when he was struck at the intersection, and died at the scene.

The operator was listed in critical condition at Elmhurst General Hospital, cops added.

It was not immediately clear if there was criminality in either accident.
