Chris is a 30-year-old journeyman who toiled in the minor leagues for nine seasons before breaking into the big leagues last year. This year he’s the improbable American League leader in RBIs.

Anyway, it’s Silvana’s birthday, so they’ve made the trip from home in Massachusetts to St. Petersburg, Fla., to see the Twins play against the Tampa Bay Rays. Then this happens.
