Madonna might want to leave moviemaking and social-justice crusading to people with handicams and cute kittens.
Her film-noir video titled “secretprojectrevolution” — a confusing 17-minute protest against racism, economic disparity, police brutality and every other injustice under the sun — has barely been watched, by Internet standards, since it was posted this week.
By Thursday evening, it had barely drawn 300,000 page views — far behind other recent, thought-provoking YouTube hits such as:
“Fireman Saves Kitten,” which has drawn more than 1.4 million views since it posted on Wednesday. It shows how one of Fresno’s Bravest used an oxygen mask to rescue a baby cat.
“BatDad” — more than 6 million people have seen what Batman would look like doing ordinary household chores.
“Dubstep Cat” — an air-drum-playing, rocker kitty — which more than 6.7 million cat and music lovers have checked out since late August.
