Father fears shot son might lose his sight

The father of the 13-year-old choirboy hit in the eye by stray gunfire in Brooklyn said Tuesday he is thankful his son is alive, but worried that the boy may lose his sight.

“The doctors told us that it was a blessing that he is alive because it could have been worse,” said Jimmy Marcel while visiting his son, Gama Droiville, at Kings County Hospital.

The dad called his son’s recovery a “miracle,” saying Gama was awake and alert following nearly five hours of surgery.

Gama was shot at a bus stop on Flatbush Avenue at around noon Monday.
