Obama in city to ask for more infrastructure money

WASHINGTON — President Obama jets to New York on Wednesday to call for new infrastructure investments during a stop at the Tappan Zee Bridge, before heading to the Upper East Side to haul in campaign cash for Democrats.

After staying overnight, he’ll attend the opening of the September 11th Memorial & Museum along with First Lady Michelle Obama.

At the Tappan Zee, the president will make his pitch for a new infusion into the federal highway trust fund. Then he’ll attend a fund-raiser for Senate Democrats at the swank co-op of investment banker Blair Effron.
