Woman accused of fatally stabbing man, stealing Mercedes

A 22-year-old woman allegedly tied up an elderly Brooklyn man with duct tape before beating and stabbing him to death and making off with his electronics, jewelry and Mercedes Benz, the Brooklyn District Attorney said Tuesday.

Judith Johnson, 22, was indicted on robbery and murder charges for the killing of Serge Bosse, 73, in his Crown Heights apartment in late February 2014.

“Bosse was discovered stabbed to death in his Albany Avenue apartment on February 28, 2014; his wrists and ankles were bound by duct tape,” the DA said in a press release. “Friends and family members had not seen or heard from Bosse for two days.”

Johnson was caught after someone unrelated to the murder was pulled over for driving drunk in Bosse’s Mercedes. Investigators traced the car to Johnson’s boyfriend, George Chambers, 21 – who had sold the Mercedes shortly after the murder – and from him to Johnson, the DA said.

Court documents say Johnson copped to the robbery and murder of Bosse, described as a bodega owner, while Chambers admitted to helping pawn Bosse’s electronics and jewelry and to selling the car, the DA said.

Johnson has been hit with charges including murder and robbery. Chambers was charged with grand larceny and hindering a prosecution.
