PS 90 sends parent surveys for ‘do-over’ after reported scandal

A Coney Island principal accused of tampering with parent surveys is distributing them all over again.

PS 90 Principal Greta Hawkins sent kids on spring break Friday with packets including sealed blank surveys — and this time instructed parents to mail in the completed questionnaires themselves, sources said.

“It’s a do-over,” one staffer said.

The move comes four weeks after The Post reported that two staffers witnessed an office aide opening survey envelopes and altering or bubbling in responses. The aide told staffers she was instructed to do so by Hawkins, they said.

The Department of Education, which uses the surveys to rate schools, vowed to order them done again if a probe found violations.

A DOE spokesman said Saturday that the investigation into Hawkins is “ongoing” and that it “invalidated the initial surveys.”
