A phony cop is wanted after pulling 10 robberies while impersonating an NYPD officer in the Bronx, law enforcement sources said on Tuesday.
The suspect, who is believed to be about 25 to 30 years old, picked up his victims while driving a livery cab and pulled out a shield before robbing the person’s property, cops said.
Police said the suspect has also pulled a gun during some of the phony cop robberies.
He is believed to be driving a brown Mercury Grand Marquis or a Black Toyota livery vehicle.
The stick ups took place in and around the Bedford Park, Fordham, and Riverdale sections of the Bronx between June 2012 and September 23.
