Hillary Clinton’s ‘shoe attacker’ released from jail

The woman who tossed a shoe at Hillary Rodham Clinton as the former secretary of state was delivering a speech in Las Vegas has been identified by cops as a 36-year-old Phoenix resident — and it may not be the first time she’s caused a scene.

Footwear flinger Alison Michelle Ernst was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and released, according to a police report made public Friday.

Clad in flip-flops, Ernst slipped past the Mandalay Bay hotel’s security barriers Thursday and entered the conference room.

Sixty feet from the stage, she pulled a black-and-orange shoe out of her purse and chucked it at Clinton, who was only minutes into her speech to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, according to the report.

In August 2012, a woman identified as Alison Michelle Ernst of the same age was briefly detained by authorities for a public outburst at a hearing for mass Colorado shooter James Holmes.
