Goldman Sachs exec accused of raping 20-year-old woman following Hamptons party

A married Goldman Sachs executive from Manhattan has been charged with raping a 20-year-old woman after a late-night party at his Hamptons summer rental raged out of control, authorities said yesterday.

Equity-markets whiz Jason Lee, 37, was hauled into East Hampton Town Court in handcuffs and charged with first-degree rape, police said.

Lee posted $20,000 bail, which was delivered in cash to court clerks while he waited in a holding cell.

Lee, who has worked for Goldman Sachs since 1998 and is a managing director of its equity capital-markets group, has been on leave since his arrest, sources said.

The alleged attack came early Tuesday morning after a bash at the four-bedroom, multimillion-dollar manse Lee had rented for July and August, a source said.

Police declined to give details, saying only that “a 20-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted inside the residence where several people had gathered.”

Lee’s wife was not at the summer home at the time, according to the source.

The exec had been partying with pals at the Georgica Restaurant and Lounge in East Hampton when he decided to take the party back to his house and pool, the source said.

With the alcohol flowing, “clothes came off” and the party got wild, going into the wee hours, the source said.

Sometime around 5 a.m., one of the guests claimed that his car had been stolen by one of the revelers, causing a scene that brought police to the house, the source said.

The stolen-car claim turned out to be unfounded, according to the source familiar with the situation.

But it was while cops were there investigating that the 20-year-old woman told police she had been raped.

The case has gone to a grand jury and an indictment was expected, sources said.

Lee’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., said his client denies the charge.

“He is very accomplished, and he’s never been in trouble with the law,” Burke said.

“His wife and family fully support him. He denies the allegation against him completely and looks forward to defending himself in court.”

A doorman at the building where Lee and his wife live in a $5.4 million, 4,500-square-foot Tribeca apartment booted a reporter from the premises.
