Brazil yanks sexy shirts for World Cup

These tawdry T-shirts are getting the boot — no ifs, ands or butts.

Adidas yanked a pair of World Cup soccer T-shirt designs from its website Tuesday after angry Brazilian officials went nuts complaining they encouraged sexual tourism.

One shirt displayed a cartoon of an open-armed, bikini-clad woman with an oversize derrière, beaming with a toothy grin next to the words “Lookin’ to Score.”

Emblazoned on another shirt was an “I ♥  Brazil” slogan, but the heart looked like an upside-down pair of buttocks in a thong.

Adidas yanked the tees from its website early Tuesday, shortly after they kicked off a storm in the Brazilian media.

“Adidas always pays close attention to the opinion of its consumers and partners,” the company said, in announcing it will not sell the offending shirts.

The tourism board of Brazil, slated to host the World Cup this summer, blasted the tasteless T-shirts, declaring that it is “vehemently” against anything that “links Brazil’s image to sex appeal.”

Brazil, famous for balmy beaches that teem with scantily clad tourists, said officials are working hard to repress “sexual tourism” during the World Cup.

“Brazil is happy to welcome the tourists that will arrive for the World Cup,” Brazil President Dilma Rousseff said in a tweet, “but it is also ready to fight against sexual tourism.”

Brazil paid a reported $350 million for sponsorship rights to the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
