City Council staffer busted for allegedly beating boyfriend

City Council staffer Charles Preston Niblack was arrested early Tuesday for allegedly clocking his boyfriend in the head with a statue and a picture frame, sources said.

Niblack, the City Council’s finance director, was hit with felony assault charges after the beat down at his Upper West Side apartment, according to law enforcement sources.

His 53-year-old boyfriend suffered minor injuries to his head and face.

The couple was arguing over living arrangements, cops said.

Niblack, who has served at the City Council since 2008, was awaiting arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday night.
