Charlie Brown returns to big screen after 24 years

Will Charlie Brown finally kick the football?

Fans may find out soon: Charlie and the rest of the beloved Peanuts gang created by Charles Schulz are returning to the big screen for the first time since 1980. A new 3D, CG-animated “Peanuts” movie is due out in theaters on Nov. 6, 2015. Today we got the first peek at what the movie will look like with this teaser trailer.

Not much other information about the movie is out yet, but Paul Feig, director of “Bridesmaids” and “The Heat,” is on board as a producer. Schulz’s son Craig is involved as a producer too, and Craig’s son Bryan co-wrote the script.

The last Peanuts movie was 1980’s “Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!),” which was released straight to video.
