New NYPD Traffic pattern in Manhattan

The NYPD’s Manhattan South Traffic Enforcement Division is being towed to a new spot at 469 Seventh Ave. at the southeast corner of West 36th Street.
The 66,800 square-foot “parking” space is a building within a building that will have its own lobby and elevators on part of the ground floor, along with the second through fourth floors and part of the sixth floor, where it will have administrative offices and meeting rooms. These are private offices where no hearings are held.
The 15-year deal, which starts on New Year’s Day, had an asking rent of $49 a foot. The division is moving from further west on 34th Street.
The CBRE team of Keith Cody, John Morrill and Douglas Holowink represented the Dept. of Citywide Administrative Services. Building owners Eric and Marty Meyer of Colliers International and Dan Shavolian of Foremost Real Estate represented their building.
To make room for the city deal, Executive Offices of New York was relocated to an upper floor.

Meanwhile, a 70,000 square-foot block at the top of the building with high ceilings that includes the entire roof could be leased with naming rights. This space is currently occupied by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which does not have an option to extend its lease.
