Slumlord murderer indicted but investigation continues

A Brooklyn grand jury indicted on murder and kidnapping raps Monday the Crown Heights man who admitted to the January abduction and slaying of Brooklyn slumlord Menachem Stark – but NYPD detectives are still investigating two other men they believe were involved in the killing, law-enforcement sources said.

Kendel Felix, 26, was arrested Wednesday for the January murder of Stark, whose body was set on fire and left in a Great Neck, LI dumpster.

The grand jury indicted Felix on charges of murder, kidnapping, and attempted robbery, a law-enforcement source said.

The source added that the investigation was ongoing and detectives hope to collar two more men – one who helped kidnap Stark and another who helped torch and dispose of his body.

Felix didn’t speak and was held without bail when he was arraigned in Brooklyn criminal court on Thursday.

Stark’s brother has demanded the arrest of any other men involved in the murder.

“Nobody should get away! They should come to justice,” Joel Stark said after Felix’s arraignment Thursday.

Felix told investigators that he and an accomplice only wanted to scare Stark when the accidentally killed him during the abduction outside his Williamsburg office.

“He owes my money,” the accomplice said just before they grabbed Stark, according to Felix’s alleged confession.
