‘We Are Men’ gets axed

The fall TV season has claimed its second casualty, with CBS on Wednesday canceling its bromance comedy “We Are Men” after two episodes.

The half-hour starring Jerry O’Connell, Tony Shalhoub, Kal Penn and Chris Smith premiered to 6.4 million viewers on Monday, Sept. 30 at 8:30 p.m. and dropped to 5.4 million viewers in its second airing.

With its axing, CBS will shuffle its Monday lineup, moving “2 Broke Girls” into the empty 8:30 p.m. slot starting Oct. 14, and returning “Mike & Molly” to the schedule at 9 p.m. on Nov. 4. Until then, repeat episodes of “The Big Bang Theory” will air at 9 p.m. New Anna Faris comedy “Mom” and drama “Hostages” remain at 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., respectively.

“We Are Men” is the second new series to be canceled this season, following ABC’s Tuesday drama “Lucky 7.”
