Penthouse legend Guccione debuts lingerie line

Watch out Milan, there’s another Gucci looking to make a mark on fashion, bit-by-sexy bits!

Brooklyn-born Bob Guccione, the late legendary founder and publisher of Penthouse, built a media empire and gave Anna Wintour her first job as a fashion editor. Now his legacy lives on through e-tail with the launch of Guccione Girls, a new website where you can buy lingerie and scintillating accessories inspired by Guccione’s archival photographs of pinups from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Entrepreneur Jeremy Frommer and producer Rick Schwartz of the Guccione Collection teamed up with celebrity designer GK Reid and tapped photographer Indrani to snap a set of vixens to model in a photo shoot for featuring the line.

“These images are so sexy in an innocent kind of way,” says Indrani, who also shot Beyonce for the sensuous album cover of her solo debut, Dangerously in Love. “There is this sort of innocence being lost and I thought taking that world and finding a modern way to bring us full circle to a place where sexuality can be celebrated and finding what’s really beautiful and sexy in a real woman.”

Literal translation: pretty girls posing provocatively.

The collection is available now at GuccioneGirls.com. Prices range from $28 for shimmery stockings and lace thongs to $46 for slinky little teddies. For $32 you can score you an imaginative pair of panties with a circle cutout for bum cleavage.
