Card shark ‘rips off’ DJ Deadmau5

A high-stakes gambler known as “The Man Who Broke Atlantic City” has been accused of stiffing a world-famous DJ after offering to pay $200,000 to hear a Bon Jovi song at a Las Vegas nightclub, according to a report.

Card shark Don Johnson, who once won $5.8 million playing blackjack in one night, made the outrageous proposal to electro-DJ Deadmau5 while partying at the swanky XS Nightclub at the Wynn Las Vegas resort casino, The Hollywood Reporter said.

In a video posted on YouTube, Deadmau5 — real name Joel Zimmerman — is seen playing Bon Jovi’s “Living on a Prayer” as a video screen behind him shows the words “Don Mother F–king Johnson.”

Johnson is even seen dancing on stage beside the DJ as the song plays, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After the DJ set, Deadmau5 and his rep reportedly approached Johnson at a blackjack table and asked for the money. That’s when Johnson allegedly refused to pay up, according to the paper.
Deadmau5 was eventually paid by his talent agency and the club’s owner, who later got locked in a legal battle over the incident.

Johnson could not be reached for comment about the report.
