Man flashes fake badge to see Paris Hilton at birthday bash: cops

A Brooklyn man allegedly flashed a fake police shield to get into Marquee early Thursday, where Paris Hilton was marking her upcoming 33rd birthday.

Francisco Tirado, 38, showed up at the 10th Avenue hot spot at 3:40 a.m. and told security he was a detective, according to authorities.

But his bold ruse began to unravel like a velvet rope when he refused to pay for the coat check, cops said.

The head of Marquee’s security asked authentic police officers, who were there responding to an unrelated medical emergency, to speak to Tirado. “I’m on the job!” he declared — but he couldn’t prove it, police said.

Tirado, a barber, told cops he went to the club to meet Hilton, authorities said. He was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation.

The whole thing was a misunderstanding, said his wife, who refused to give her name. Tirado was simply holding onto the fake badge for a friend’s brother, she claimed without elaborating.

“It was not his fault,” she insisted from the door of their Brooklyn apartment. “It was the [coat check] lady’s fault. She took off his coat and [the badge] was in his pocket.”
