WITH all the recent additions to Atlantis, you need a guide to sort out what’s what – here, a list of the newest features.

1) THE COVE

What’s what: A 600-suite tower opened on land once occupied by Club Med (behind the Royal Tower), the Cove raises the bar for an Atlantis stay with chic, South-Beach-style decor and rooms packed with the latest technology.

What’s hot: Guest-only pools, (including an adults-only “ultra-pool”), a minimum room size of 670 square feet, and five levels of Club suites atop the hotel, offering concierge services and lounge, with no children under 12 allowed. The nightclub, Aura, is designed by the team behind Pure in Las Vegas.

Details: From $735 per night, winter; $575, summer. Soft opening March 28, thecoveatlantis.com

2) AQUAVENTURE

What’s what: Here’s the math: It’s 63 acres, 5 million gallons of water, and 81 lifeguards worth of water fun.

What’s hot: The Power Tower holds four slides: The Abyss, Drop, Surge and Falls. Get on or off the river surrounding the whole thing at several entry points, and almost never battle lines.

Details: Available to Atlantis and Cove guests.

3) DOLPHIN CAY

What’s what: An interactive education center – think Sea World’s Discovery Cove, but in the Bahamas.

What’s hot: Slap on a wetsuit and enjoy a little nose time with your very own flippered friend in one of the world’s largest habitats (7 million gallons of seawater filling three lagoons).

Details: Available to Atlantis and Cove guests, with a cost of $150 for 90-minutes.

4) RESIDENCES AT ATLANTIS

What’s what: Diehard fans can now move into a tower adjacent to The Cove, featuring 495 units.

What’s hot: Full concierge, resident-only pool, fitness center and beach, plus access to all amenities.

Details: From $720,000, opening in December.

5) MARINA VILLAGE

What’s what: This outdoor shopping village is the oldest of the new additions (2005), but worth mentioning for the way it has livened up the main entrance to the resort.

What’s hot: Drinks in the bar at Adam Tihany-designed Cafe Martinique, particularly when there’s someone playing the piano.

Details: Opens early, closes late, details at atlantis.com.
