De Blasio to appear on CBS’s ‘The Good Wife’

Mayor de Blasio, fresh off Monday morning’s appearance on the “Today” show, is now ready for prime time.

De Blasio will play himself in an upcoming episode of the CBS political drama “The Good Wife.”

The show will be set in the city as main character Alicia Florrick, played by Julianna Margulies, seeks inspiration for a keynote speech.

“The Good Wife” frequently features cameos by real-life politicos, such as former Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Democratic strategist Donna Brazile.

De Blasio has already appeared on a number of TV shows since he took over City Hall last month.

In addition to burying the hatchet with “Today” weatherman Al Roker, the mayor has turned up on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” on Comedy Central, and “All In with Chris Hayes,” on MSNBC.

The “Good Wife” episode featuring de  Blasio will air on March 16. Neither his spokesman nor a CBS rep would provide further details.
