Yankees superstar A-Rod and his long-suffering wife slugged it out quickly and quietly and now have reached a settlement to end their troubled marriage, a source told The Post Thursday night.
“They reached a settlement agreement,” a source close to Alex Rodriguez said. “It was very amicable.”
The terms were not immediately disclosed.
As The Post reported, the slugger and C-Rod the mother of the couple’s two little girls started negotiations in New York in July after Cynthia filed for divorce earlier that month.
They had hoped to avoid a public slugfest over money and the effort has apparently paid off.
The pact is now expected to be filed in court in Florida, where Cynthia first filed for the breakup, accusing A-Rod of extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct.
The bombshell divorce action came amid claims A-Rod was smitten with and paying late-night visits to pop diva Madonna.
