Staffers at Oprah Winfrey’s O magazine got an extra $10,000 in their pockets this week.
To mark the magazine’s 10th anniversary, Winfrey doled out Apple iPads and $10,000 checks to every employee, regardless of how long they have been with the company, Advertising Age reported Wednesday.
“These were personal gifts to the staff from Oprah to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the magazine,” the report quoted a spokeswoman for the magazine’s publisher Hearst as saying.
The talk show host is well-known for her gift-giving ways. In 2004, she rewarded an entire studio audience with free cars from Pontiac.
