Man goes on ‘Grand Theft Auto’-style rampage

Someone might have gotten a little too excited while playing Grand Theft Auto.

Suspected drug dealer Ryan Stone, 28, went on a wild rampage through Denver, terrorizing motorists as police chased his vehicle in a super-speed pursuit.

It all began with the carjacking of an unlocked van — with a 4-year-old child inside — at a gas station.

Suspected drug dealer Ryan Stone went on a Grand Theft Auto-style chase through Denver.

Stone eventually dumped that car for another by throwing the driver on the ground, then drove down the wrong side of a highway, smashed into the side of other cars, chucked two more people out of their vehicles and ignored police stops — even running down an officer.

The whole episode was filmed from a police chopper, creating striking similarities to the video game Grand Theft Auto.

After smashing cars derby-style, Stone finally fled on foot through snow.

His undoing? A fence blocking his final escape. Police pounced on the suspect.

Fortunately, no one was killed during Stone’s high-speed adventure. The injured officer was undergoing surgery at a local hospital and the young boy was returned safely to his mother.
