Rex Ryan loves Big Blue.
Who knew?
The Jets coach shocked observers at his news conference yesterday by proclaiming his admiration for the Giants and his hopes of facing them in the biggest game of all.
“I’m a Giant fan,” Ryan said. “I want the Giants to win in the NFC because I think it’s great for our town, for our stadium and [for] this area. I think that’s great. I’d love to meet them in the Super Bowl. We’ll sign up for that.”
Ryan’s response was even more of a surprise because the question didn’t involve the Giants at all — it was about whether the Yankees’ 27 championships are an inspiration to the Jets.
