Parents group says racy ‘Glee’ GQ spread ‘borders on pedophilia’

The makers of hit television show “Glee” and GQ magazine came under fire from a parents group Wednesday after three cast members posed in a racy new photo spread for the publication’s November issue.

Appearing alongside their fully-clothed male costar Cory Monteith, “Glee” actresses Lea Michele and Dianna Agron are shown scantily clad in the pictures, wearing only bras and panties or short skirts and midriff-baring tops.

Despite the fact that the actresses are both 24-years-old and Monteith is 28, the Parents Television Council (PTC) said the spread “borders on pedophilia.”

“It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on ‘Glee’ in this way. It borders on pedophilia,” PTC president Tim Winter said in a statement issued Wednesday.

Winter argued the “near-pornographic” photos, which also feature what he calls a “full-frontal crotch shot,” were overly sexualized and suggested the FOX show was moving in a direction that “isn’t good for families.”

The FOX network is owned by News Corp., which also owns NewsCore
