It would have been better if only snakes had gotten on this plane.
A hungry crocodile, smuggled in a carry-on bag aboard an airplane in the Congolese capital of Kinshasa, got loose shortly before landing and caused such a panic that the plane crashed, killing 19, according to the Congo newsmagazine Jeune Afrique.
There were only two survivors of the Aug. 25 crash, a passenger — and the crocodile. The animal didn’t last long, however.
“The crocodile survived the crash before being cut up with a machete,” the magazine reported.
