Vicki Gunvalson, one of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County,” has filed for divorce from her husband after 16 years of marriage, TMZ reported Tuesday.
Gunvalson filed for dissolution of marriage from her husband, Donn Gunvalson, in Orange County Superior Court on Monday.
This is Vicki Gunvalson’s second marriage, People reported. She has a son, Michael, and a daughter, Brianna, from her previous marriage.
The couple’s marital problems had been on display throughout “The Real Housewives.” In one episode, she was seen telling Donn Gunvalson, “My love tank is empty,” and on a cast reunion show last season, she said, “I just don’t feel real happy right now.”
Despite their issues, Vicki and Donn Gunvalson renewed their wedding vows on camera in 2009.
Vicki Gunvalson’s “Real Housewives” costar Alexis Bellino, speaking to RadarOnline, said news of the divorce was “totally unexpected.”
“I really didn’t see it coming,” Bellino said. “I’ve spent a great deal of time with them and they seemed very content with one another.”
Vicki Gunvalson is the second “Real Housewives of Orange County” star to get divorced, after Tamra Barney split from her husband Simon in January. The reality series follows the lives of five socialite housewives in the gated community of Coto de Caza, Calif.
