Jets’ Revis says he’s 100 percent

Darrelle Revis is ready to make his 2010 season about football, putting his contract holdout and hamstring injury behind him.

The Jets cornerback emerged from yesterday’s first practice after the bye-week break and declared himself completely healthy.

“I’m 100 percent,” Revis said. “The last month, there’s been a lot of stuff going on. I also came in late, but now I can settle in and just play football.”

Revis said he “lived” at the Jets’ Florham Park facility rehabbing his left hamstring.

“I’m ready to go,” he said. “I’ll be there Sunday. We did everything we could this week. We wanted to knock [the injury] out. This was a good week of rest for me to do that.”

Coach Rex Ryan said Revis “was moving around great” in yesterday’s practice.

“I think we’re going to see Darrelle at 100 percent and that’s exciting to me,” Ryan said.

Linebacker Bart Scott, asked what it means to have Revis Island at full strength, said, “It means an unoccupied Island. I think we had trolleys and ferries pulling up to the Island. But now the Island is going to be protected.

“With him out there, it’s going to give us an opportunity to get our pass rush there a little bit more because guys aren’t going to be open. The first [pass] read may not be there, the second read may not be there. That gives us that split second to be able to get to the quarterback.

“If they do choose to attack like Denver did, I think some of those balls will be picked off with a healthy Revis.”

The only other injury issue is linebacker Calvin Pace
, who is playing with a surgically repaired foot. Pace said yesterday that he might not be fully healed for the rest of the season but he’s well enough to resume his starting role.

“I don’t know if he’s 100 percent, but I think he’ll be just fine come Sunday,” Ryan said.

Ryan addressed his team’s No. 12 ranking in defense this year after it was No. 1 last season.

“When it’s all settled, I expect to have the best defense in the league,” he said. “But our objective is to lead the league in wins. We’ll probably be up there [in the statistics] anyways.”

The Jets signed offensive tackle Andre Ramsey
, who played with the Bills last season, to their practice squad. He replaces center Cody Wallace
, who was signed off their practice squad last week by the Lions. The Jets have 52 players on the regular roster after cutting linebacker Kenwin Cummings
the other day.
