Terrified family rescued from corn maze

DANVERS, Mass. — A distraught mom, dad and three-week-old baby had to be rescued from a popular corn maze north of Boston, myFOXboston.com reported.

Police received a call around 7:00 p.m. local time Monday from the family, who got lost in the maze on Connors Farms in Danvers, about 15 miles northeast of Boston.

The family was concerned because the farm closed at 6:00 p.m. and they were the only ones left in the maze as night began to fall.

“I don’t see anybody… I’m really scared,” the distraught mother told a 911 responder. “It’s really dark and we’ve got a 3-week-old.”

“”I don’t know what made us do this,” she added, in tears. “The mosquitoes are eating us alive… I never took my daughter out, this is the first time. Never again … This is embarrassing.”

After receiving the call, police contacted the management at Connors Farm and the rescue, which included a K-9 unit, was arranged.

The maze is a tourist attraction that sends people down winding paths shielded by stalks of corn.
