Suspect arrested in B’klyn grope admits he molested other women

The cowardly creep busted for one of the 13 sex attacks that have terrorized Brooklyn confessed to the groping — and admitted he has molested other women, law enforcement sources said today.

Accused perv Adolfo Martinez, 26, spilled his guts after cops showed him video of Monday’s attack on an 18-year-old girl in Sunset Park.

“He told us that he had done this before — groping — but he couldn’t pinpoint where,” the source said.

Martinez was arrested near his 42nd Street building in Sunset Park when a pair of cops recognized his two-toned boots, which matched those worn in a surveillance video of the attack.

He first lied to them about his address. When they found the right apartment, they noticed the sweater worn during the attack.

Cops have not tied him to the other dozen attacks that have plagued the area since March, but he is wanted for a similar incident in Chinatown from 2007.

In that incident, Martinez was arrested for allegedly grabbing a 26-year-old woman’s buttocks near Chrystie and Grand streets as she walked to the subway about 6 p.m.

He was charged with forcible touching and sex abuse, but missed two court appearance and a bench warrant was issued.

Martinez, who has a wife and 8-month-old son, has not been ruled out in the other Brooklyn attacks — and cops are arranging lineups with the victims.

Martinez, a Mexican immigrant who cuts fish at a Chinatown market, was awaiting arraignment in Brooklyn Supreme Court on charges of forcible touching and sexual abuse for allegedly sneaking up on the teen and grabbing her buttocks as she left the subway station at 36th Street and Fourth Avenue at around 8 p.m. Monday.

Martinez fits the description in most of the attacks, but cops believe there are up to three other assailants — and have posted their sketches in the 72nd Precinct, where most of the incidents occurred.

The precinct straddles Sunset Park, Greenwood Heights and Park Slope.

Martinez’ younger brother said the accused sleazebag has been working in Canada for the last six months — and only returned to New York a week ago.

“I feel that he didn’t do this, he’s not that kind of guy,” said Antonio Martinez, 18, adding that the admitted molester’s wife Arely “feels terrible” about the bust.

“She’s sad. She can’t believe this,” he said.

Adolfo, Antonio said, has lived in New York for six years but regularly treks back to Mexico to visit his parents.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Brooklyn Councilwoman Sara Gonzalez yesterday announced details of a pair of self-defense classes will be offered Sunday in Sunset Park by the Center for Anti-violence Education.

A class from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. will be offered in English and Spanish while a class from 1:30 to 2:30 will be offered in English and Chinese.

“We’re going to send a powerful message, we’re going to protect ourselves and out neighbors,” Quinn said.
