PSAL boys soccer roundup: Bayside tops Bowne, wins third straight

Bayside will head into Friday’s Queens A East showdown with Francis Lewis riding high.

The Commodores, ranked fourth in the PSAL by The Post, won their third straight, topping John Bowne, 4-1, on Wednesday. Kevin Cruz, Kevin Londono, Andres Huerfano and Dennis Amvrosiatos each scored once, Huerfano, Abdullah Mayan and Londono had assists and keeper Constantine Pougiouklidis made seven saves for Bayside (7-1-1), which trails Lewis by two points in Queens E East, though the Patriots have an extra match left to play. Bowne is 0-7-1.

No. 1 Martin Luther King Jr. 3, No. 5 Stuyvesant 1: Ibrahim Diaby had a goal and an assist, Tarek Beckles and Michael Henry also scored and Bryan Moya added an assist for MLK (10-0-0) in Manhattan A. Ethan Lochner scored for Stuyvesant (6-3-0).

No. 6 Curtis 5, Petrides 1: Edwin Zosayas scored twice, Alvin Lymas had three assists and Dogo Cooper and Edward Whitfield also had a goal for Curtis (9-1-1), which has won eight in a row in Staten Island A. Petrides is 4-5-2.

No. 8 Bronx Science 6, Lehman 0: J.C. Bahr-de Stefano and Joshua Gilbey each had two goals and an assist, Ivan Vulin also scored and keeper Nicholas Tzallas picked up a clean sheet for Bronx Science (7-1-2), which leads Columbus by four points in Bronx A. Lehman is still winless at 0-9-0.

No. 10 Tottenville 2, Port Richmond 1: Chris McCormick and Joseph Manzi each scored once and Nick Bacarella and Julio Mejia had helpers for Tottenville (8-2-1) in Staten Island A. Port Richmond is 4-6-1.

: Sergio Simon had two goals, Emre Erenses added another and keeper Alec Kleyer made 10 saves for Wagner (3-5-3) in Staten Island A. New Dorp falls to 6-3-2.

McKee/Staten Island 3, CSI/McCown 1: Max Fiedziukiewicz had two goals and Augustine Josiah also scored for MSIT (3-4-4) in Staten Island A. CSI/McCown is 0-11-0.

Columbus 4, Walton 2: Michael Nti scored two goals and Armand Dadaj and Jordan Scarlett each had a goal and an assist for Columbus, which has won four in a row in Bronx A. Walton is 1-7-0.

Lab Museum 2, Bard 1: Malkam Saunds scored twice, Alejandro Fernandez and Joseph Falzetta also found the back of the net and Calvin Griffin made six saves for Lab Museum (4-6-0) in Manhattan A. Bard is 2-7-0.

Brooklyn International 6, Boys & Girls 4: Ousmane Sangary notched the hat trick and tallied an assist, Walid Albarati scored twice and added an assist and Abubakarr Sow followed with another goal for Brooklyn International (4-5-0) in Brooklyn A Central. Boys & Girls is 1-6-0.

Martin Van Buren 2, Flushing 1: Toshan Hutton and Ricardo Clairsainvil both had goals, Chavaughn Cox and Dario Novembre notched assists and keeper Larry Londono made three saves for Van Buren (3-5-1) in Queens A East. Flushing is 0-7-2.

Townsend Harris 5, Lane 2: Jason King had two goals, Daniel Yacar and Jeremy Fedus also scored once apiece and keeper Samier Trabilsy made three saves for Townsend Harris (4-5-1) in Queens B-II. Lane is 1-8-1.

Queens Vocational Tech 3, Richmond Hill 2: Jorge Calderon, Shady Albakry and Nich Kotsakis each scored once and Benji Zamora, Michael Alvarado and Jonnathan Avila added assists for division leader Queens Vocational Tech (8-2-0) in Queens B-II. Richmond Hill is 2-7-1.

Taft 2, Mott Haven 0: Mohamadou Saho had two goals, Stephen Mensah had two assists and keeper Masamba Drame made eight saves for the clean sheet for Taft (8-2-0) in Bronx B. Mott Haven is 3-5-0.
