2 charged in deadly NJ strip-club shooting

PASSAIC, N.J. — Two men have been charged with murder following the death of a man who was shot outside a northern New Jersey strip club last month.

Passaic County prosecutors brought the charge against 23-year-old Jason Colon and 25-year-old Johnathan Trininio, both of Newark. Bail for both men has been set at $1 million, and it wasn’t clear Sunday if either man had retained an attorney.

The two men are charged in the death of 24-year-old Carlos Vicente of Bayonne, who was shot outside The Palace bar in Passaic on Sept. 22. He was driven by friends to a nearby hospital and later transferred to University Hospital in Newark, where he died Oct. 2.

Prosecutors say the shooting stemmed from an altercation, but would not provide further details.
