A Los Angeles judge ripped into Lindsay Lohan today and revoked her probation — saying the actress has blown off her court-ordered community service and even questioning the starlet’s commitments to her acting career.
“She is supposed to be an actress from what I hear. I don’t know how much acting work she’s done or is doing,” said LA Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said as a gaunt-looking Lohan sat quietly at a table.
Lohan, aside from a role in last year’s film “Machete,” has seen her acting career evaporate in recent years.
The judge revoked Lohan’s probation and set a Nov. 2 probation violation hearing. She also set bail at $100,000.
Lohan’s spokesman Steve Honig said Lohan immediately posted bail.
“Lindsay is hoping this matter will be resolved on Nov. 2 and the court will reinstate probation and allow her to continue fulfilling her community service,” he said.
Lohan had been cuffed and taken away before she made bail.
The decision came after a city prosecutor said Lohan should be jailed for violating her community service order.
Lohan looked like a mess in court, sporting poorly done blush on her cheeks. It resulted in matching, dark, 45-degree streaks running across both sides of her face.
Saunter said she made it clear in her sentence that Lohan, 25, was to do community service at the Downtown Women’s Center. The judge pointed out that Lohan blew off nine scheduled appointments and the one-time she showed up, she only stayed an hour — not the mandatory four.
“There has been violation upon violation,” the judge said.
The judge said Lohan got herself kicked out of the center — a clear violation of her probation — and refused to give her any credit for serving time recently at the Red Cross.
“A year is a generous amount of time,” the judge said, pointing out to Lohan’s poor progress at doing her community service.
Lohan has six more months to complete her community service.
“Probation is a gift, not a right,” the judge said.
“If jail meant any time in the state of California, I’d send her to jail,” Saunter added.
Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Holley said Lohan’s acting “opportunities” are “unfortunately limited” and that she works mostly in Europe.
Holley said Lohan has to work to “support herself and support her family.”
But the judge said she wants Lohan to work at the morgue at least twice a week once Lohan makes bail and scoffed at the actress’s finishing her shoplifter’s course just last night — even though she had months to do it.
Sautner even questioned whether Lohan really did see a shrink every week while she was in Europe.
