Why Giants? Eagles stink at the Linc

Including his 1997-2012 seasons in The Post, Cat’s record in print stands at 480-408 (54 percent) against the spread.

SATURDAY

SOUTH FLORIDA (+20¹/₂) over Louisville: Though Teddy Bridgewater is the goods, had a feeling Cardinals were just a tad overrated, and under-the-radar Central Florida proceeded to knock the Cardinals from undefeated ranks in Friday-nighter. This is a lot of points to spot the Bulls defense — playing at home. Only the Miami Hurricanes have been able to humiliate this host, recently. South Florida (+20¹/₂) refuses to go away, for one unit.

SUNDAY

Giants (+5 ½) over EAGLES: Big Blue can’t reasonably be expected to meet the standards you’re used to, any time soon, but this is a quick-revenge spot against a pliant defense, getting generous points. Michael Vick is expected to be back in the saddle for Philly, but Vick’s peak efforts are but a memory, and Birds’ most-recent NINE efforts at the Linc have been wholly unsatisfactory. A better bargain away from MetLife by any measure, Giants (+5 ½) for one unit.

LAST WEEK: 0-2. Don’t blame Sam Bradford’s injury for this loss; early Panther pick-six set tone (Rams, minus one unit). Baltimore ran out of time (Ravens, minus one unit).

SEASON: 9-5-2.
