Looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger was pumping a lot more than just iron.

The “Terminator” star, who became California’s governor, fathered a love child more than a decade ago with a longtime household staffer — but revealed that devastating news to his wife, Maria Shriver, only after leaving office this year, it was disclosed yesterday.

An enraged Shriver — already unhappy in her 25-year marriage to the lecherous bodybuilder — promptly separated from Schwarzenegger and moved out of their Los Angeles mansion and into a hotel after he refused her request to leave.

She reportedly learned the heartbreaking news while dining in Chicago with her daughters and Oprah Winfrey.

Shriver — who appeared last night at Oprah’s next-to-last taping — was at the table when her phone rang, according to Radaronline.com.

“Maria had a very animated, very emotional 15 minute phone call,” a source told the site. “It was obvious she was getting some stunning news. She left the dinner right after the call.”

The housekeeper-turned-baby-mama was identified by RadarOnline.com and TMZ as Mildred Patricia Baena, 50, who goes by the name Patty.

Shortly after retiring, she moved to a $250,000 house on a Bakersfield cul-de-sac with the boy. Her neighbor, Roger Steelman, 62, told The Post that about nine months ago a realtor told him that Baena’s house was being purchased by Schwarzenegger for one of his “longtime assistants.”

Neighbors said the she lives there with her son and a man in his 20s.

Baena’s MySpace page describes herself as a “proud parent” and described her body type as having “extra baggage.”

Baena began “pursuing” Schwarzenegger, and told friends she’d have unprotected sex with him during the day at the house, TMZ said.

She didn’t tell Schwarzenegger the child was his until the boy was a toddler, the Web site said.

The Los Angeles Times said he immediately took financial responsibility.

TMZ did not reveal the name of the boy, who is either 10 or 11, but said his features are “eerily” similar to those of Schwarzenegger.

Rogelio Baena, who divorced the ex-housekeeper in 2008, said last night that he “didn’t know” she’d had a child with Schwarzenegger.

Baena retired months ago after working for Schwarzenegger and Shriver for 20 years.

Schwarzenegger, 63, whose separation from Shriver was revealed last week, said yesterday, “I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses, and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused.”

Shriver, a niece of John F. Kennedy and a former NBC journalist who defended Schwarzenegger during his 2003 gubernatorial campaign when he was accused of groping more than a dozen women, was devastated by the disclosure that her wayward husband had a secret child before running for governor.

“This is a painful and heartbreaking time,” she said. Shriver, 55, has four kids with Schwarzenegger, ages 13 to 21.

“As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal,” added Shriver, whose parents, Sargent and Eunice Kennedy Shriver, died in the past two years.

Meanwhile, Gawker.com yesterday reposted part of a 2003 London Daily Mail story that suggested Schwarzenegger had fathered a child named Tanner 11 years before with Tammy Tousignant, a flight attendant on his private plane who was at the time married to a pilot.

“Everyone knew that she was Arnold’s lover — everyone,” The Daily Mail quoted a source saying.

Shriver allegedly got wind of the affair and had the flight attendant fired in the late ’90s, the paper said.

Tousignant in 2003 angrily denied the alleged affair. She has another young son named Connor — the last name of two heroes in Schwarzenegger’s “Terminator” movies.

Her lawyer has claimed Tousignant took a paternity test showing that her husband, Tom, was the father of her son, RadarOnline.com reported yesterday.

And Tanner, a California college student, in a Facebook message to Gawker, said “im not his son . . . it was just a stupid story made up 8 years ago.”

Allegations also surfaced that Schwarzenegger used his office as a hot-sheets motel.

About five to seven years ago, he had “numerous late-night rendezvous with various women at his Santa Monica office building,” TMZ reported.

The revelations appear to be hitting his and Arnie and Shriver’s children hard.

“Some days you feel like s–t, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit,” wrote Patrick Arnold Schwarzenegger, 17, on his Twitter page, quoting the lyrics of hip-hop group Fort Minor.
