Katsoris working on TV special to benefit St. Jude’s Hospital

Nicholas Katsoris is working on a TV special for his Loukoumi Foundation which will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — and will include Jennifer Aniston, Morgan Freeman, Constantine Maroulis and many others.

The foundation recently received consent from the New York State Department of Education for the one-hour nationally syndicated special, called “Make a Difference,” and is working in conjunction with IMG Media to produce the event, which will have seven segments based on the lessons for kids from the series of “Loukoumi” children’s books penned by Katsoris. (Aniston and her father, John Aniston, have provided voiceover narration for some of the “Loukoumi” audiobooks.)

To help get the ball rolling, there will be a benefit concert on Monday, June 23, at the Scholastic Theatre in Manhattan, featuring performances from Anna Vissi, Maroulis and Gloria Gaynor and participants including Ernie Anastos and Olympia Dukakis.

Gut check for Sheets

Now that A&E’s “Storage Wars” star Darrell Sheets has dropped a lot of weight, he wants everyone to know about it — doing an about-face on his well-known mantra on the show, “Don’t make yourself seen.”

With the new season of “Storage Wars” returning June 3, Sheets wants everyone to see how much weight he’s shed (75 pounds) by using Nutrisystem — and, throughout this sixth season, he’ll take “Storage Wars” viewers on his journey, which began in January.

“I was tired of exercise with no results,” says Sheets. “I had to get away from eating cheeseburgers and making bad choices on the set.”
