NBA: Nets’ Williams breaks foot

Nets backup point guard Marcus Williams suffered a broken right foot and will undergo surgery Monday to repair a fractured fifth metatarsal and likely will be out 6-8 weeks. Williams broke his foot working out this week. – Fred Kerber

BALCO: Mosley admits to ‘roid use

Boxer Shane Mosley said he unknowingly used BALCO designer steroids “the clear” and “the cream” as part of a doping regimen before a 2003 light middleweight championship fight against Oscar De La Hoya, a fight won by Mosley..

In an interview with ESPN.com, the former three-division world champion said, “Unknowingly, yes, some of the substances they are talking about were being used as part of the workouts.”
