Not one Giant misses crucial Cowboys week practice

Jason Pierre-Paul says Sunday’s game against the Cowboys is like the Super Bowl for the Giants. If so, it looks as if the Giants are All In as they look to stay in contention in the NFC East.

Pierre-Paul was one of seven players who did not practice on Wednesday who returned to the field on Thursday, meaning there was not one player on the roster sitting out for any reason.

Hakeem Nicks, after raising some eyebrows when he sat out with a groin issue, was back in action, and there is every reason to believe he will take his place in the starting lineup against the Cowboys, still looking for his first touchdown catch of the season.

Three cornerbacks, Trumaine McBride (hip), Corey Webster (ankle) and Terrell Thomas, were able to practice. Webster is dealing with a high ankle sprain, and it probably is a stretch to think he can play this weekend. McBride’s health is extremely important: He has moved into the starting lineup in place of Webster and cornerback Aaron Ross, who is on season-ending injured reserve. Thomas sat out Wednesday as part of the weekly maintenance to make sure his right knee is ready for game days.

Fullback John Conner (hip) also returned to the field.

Pierre-Paul sat out Wednesday because of soreness in his right shoulder. He played last Sunday despite the issue with his shoulder and came away with the play of the game, returning an interception of Packers quarterback Scott Tolzien 24 yards for the game-sealing touchdown.

After starting the season losing their first six games, the Giants take a four-game winning streak into the game against the Cowboys, who are 5-5 and a half-game behind the first place Eagles (6-5) for the division lead.
