BRYANT PARK GRENADE BUST

Cops closed tourist-friendly Bryant Park an hour early last night — after busting a man who was trying to sell a hand grenade, police said.

Authorities said narcotics police were involved in an operation at the Midtown park at about 9 p.m. when they nabbed the alleged grenade seller.

The park was immediately closed, a police source said. The park usually closes at 10 p.m. during April, according to its Web site.

It was later determined that the grenade was inert. The area around the park was especially busy yesterday because of the shooting of a Nicolas Cage movie, according to a production assistant.
