‘Bad Johnson’s’ missing its mojo

“Bad Johnson” is the story of a manhood gone missing. A boorish Don Juan (Cam Gigandet) wakes up minus his penis, which has been transmogrified into a slacker dude (Nick Thune) who moves in for a buddy comedy that reeks like stale underpants.

That the Lothario is named Rich Johnson (har, har) is one of the hundreds of flaccid jokes as man and peter try to figure out the magical secret that’ll restore normal existence for both.

Structurally but not qualitatively, it’s a “Groundhog Day” for trouser ferrets, with Rich at first freaking out but later seizing the opportunity to become a better, more sensitive male because he’s no longer a slave to his third leg. But the vapid Gigandet is almost as insufferable in nice-guy mode as he is when playing a total knob.
